your argument is invalid

Today, I decided to write about most annoying people in the world. Drum roll please! Yes, it’s about fanatic people. First and foremost, who are they? Fanatics are people that’re obsessed with something (political party/band/football club/etc...) and would not accept any critics from others. As Election Day is getting nearer, all these political party fanatics appear everywhere on the internet and real life. It makes me sick. They post and share everything that makes me want to ultimate facepalm myself. I don’t get this kind of people. I mean I’m fanatic too. I’m fanatic to Paramore band and the Barcelona football club. But if people want to criticize them and their point is true, I will accept it. Indeed, I will join them criticize as a joke too. There was a time where I criticized Barcelona team because it was true, but then one of fanatic came to me and said I don’t deserve to be the biggest fan and how he wished to kick me out of the fan club. It was funny and joke of the day, I guess. What I did was I just ignore this type of people because I don’t argue with people that are not worth to have an argument with. If being a fanatic means I have to become ignorance like this guy too, I rather be a normal fan then.

All I ever wanted

Yesterday, I got an email from my sv regarding conference that I want to go. It was not a good news since apparently my school didn't have any budget to pay for that unless I change my presentation from poster to oral. I choose to do a poster presentation in the first place because I was scared to do an oral presentation. My first oral presentation at colloquium in 2011 was a nightmare. I was blur for the first 3 minutes and I was so embarrassed with myself. But this is life, right? Sometimes we have to face our own fear and sometimes we can't get everything that we want no matter how much money we have or how rich we are. If we could get everything that we want, then this life must be perfect. But the truth is there’s no such thing as perfect. No perfect life, no perfect relationship, no perfect match. Even a perfect guy that is charming, intelligent, smart, know how to play guitar, kind, religious, good looking and loving is existing, he probably never be yours. So, in order to avoid from frustration or disappointment, maybe the good thing is not to have higher expectation and learn to accept everything that you have and you got than thinking about not getting something that you want.

big girls don’t wait

Some of fairy tale stories told us that princess always waits for the prince to save her. Rapunzel waited for the prince to save her on the tower, Cinderella waited for the shoes to fit in her foot, Snow White waited for the prince to give her true love kiss that can save her from the curse, and Princess Aurora waited for the prince to save her from long sleep. Even in the ancient years, our late grandma just waited for the wedding proposal and there’s almost no such thing in finding their own love story. But we’re not living in those ages anymore or in the fairy tale books. In this modern year, women become more independent. Some of us have stop waiting for the prince to save us because we can save ourselves.

I don’t want to be saved by a knight or prince. I can slay the dragon by myself. If there is any fairy tale that I want to take as a good example, it will be Beauty & the Beast or Mulan. I always adore Belle. Belle’s not a princess and she did not wait for the prince to save her. Instead, she’s the one that saves the prince. I want to be like her; independent, smart, beautiful and she did not care about her partner’s look or how much money that he has. If the beast is not a prince, I bet she’s still going to fall in love with him because of his personality and his brain. But I don’t want to change a beast into a prince or kiss every frog and hope it will turn into a prince charming. On top of that, I don’t want to be saved too since I’m not a princess. I want a true love story but I’m not going to wait for it to be happened. I believe that we must find and create our own fairy tales and happy ending in our own way.

I don’t want to live in this country anymore…

I know people keep talking about politics everywhere, all the time since only a week left before the election. I try not to post about it but for this time, I can’t help it. I just heard the advertisement that people talked about on Twitter. Yup. It sucks! I mean there’s nothing wrong if you want to do your campaign anywhere through any medium. But now, for my opinion, bn really had crossed the line this time. I feel like I’m living in a country where only one party is the best among the rest and should rule the country because they had done that since forever. First, they bought all the media, such as Buletin Utama, Utusan (should I list all of them?) and now radio station too? It is ok if the advertisement just about a promotion on the party without insulting others. Like seriously, people heard them enough at 8 pm news every day! Oh, come on! Give me a break will ya? I have stop reading newspaper and watching news on tv. I don’t want to stop listening to the radio too.

If they really confident that people going to vote for them, why try too hard? Honestly, all these efforts make people hate them more. (That’s including me too, I guess). Why they need to show too much effort that makes them look desperate and wasting too much money on the advertisement that will get negative feedback? Seriously, I thought that they’re better than this. I love this country, I really do. Just please stop ruining every media in this country by buying them with people’s money.

**Inbefore, if you don't like the system, get out from this country!

Save as environment file? [yes] [no] [don’t care]

Every day, I wake up look at the same view through the window from my 17th floor room. It was the same view, till today I realize something had changed. At first I thought that it’s always like that, but then it’s getting obvious. “What had happened to that hill?” Yup. Some irresponsible people cut down the trees and want to clear every tree on that hill. I have no idea what they want to build up there. But whatever it will be, people that handle the project must be fucking crazy. Like seriously, what’s worse than build something up on the hill? Looks like some people just don’t care about others life and didn’t learn from the Highland Towers tragedy. There are bad consequences than good. And yet, they’re still wondering how bad flood occurs every time there’s heavy rain in here.

It’s just as same case as the undersea tunnel. Even it’s still has no confirmation yet, but that project will ruin the marine ecosystem. Ironically, the city I live now that plan all this project really has a good campaign on go green, bring your own plastic bag, don’t support polystyrene usage, and lots more. As usual, this project will help people and as usual also people only think about them without consider about the environment. We, humans will always be that selfish creature. Do we still care about the environment? Ask yourself. But if we do, what can we do besides protest and writing an entry on blog about this? The amount of deforestation increase every year and the bad news is our country deforesting trees 3 times faster than the rest of Asia country. That’s something not to proud of as a citizen. It does not matter which party contributes to the deforestation. The only matter is we need to stop this thing before there are no trees left to save.

swing swing

Hey, it's Monday again! So, Monday Blues anyone? Actually it's unfair to put the blame on the day. Maybe it's not the day, it's all about yourself. Like me, I don't know why but I always mad with everything this lately. Even the smallest thing. I guess that's why I don't write much and update this blog everyday like I always do. It's not good to feel this way but I can't help it. And since I don't know what to write in here, I just want to share this part from the manga that I read.

Yup, I read love manga too. So what? haha. Here's the link if you want to read full manga the link (but I've to warn you, this manga update take forever)

Girlcott, no?

It’s mid April 2013 and people still share on FB and tweet about boycott. It is a famous share and tweet especially when USA or Israel attacks Muslim country. Like this thing can help stop the war and bring peace to the world. Products that are on top of the list, of course McD and Starbucks. If you notice, McD had changed their advertisement on television which contains a hidden message that they want to deliver. Sadly, not all of us are smart enough to think what they want to say. There are some of my friends on FB post their status regarding this and said they did not understand what the advertisement is all about. I hope they will grow some brain later. I’m not saying I’m really smart but that advertisement is not a mathematical formula or even rocket science experiment. It's just a critical thinking that if you open your eyes wide enough, you can clearly see what is the message behind the story. It is a message for people that boycott their product, you guys. Obviously they said that they had offered a lot of job opportunities for people in our country. That will reduce the percentage of unemployment and help economics in our country in case you still don’t know or never care to learn basic economy

Also, if you ever heard both of them and most of the products that you’re boycotting are franchises that open in our country. So, basically don’t blame the products. Instead, blame the people that open the franchise in our country. But on the second thought, who is going to eat at MarryBrown instead of McD? That’s my point exactly. If our country is like Japan or South Korea that have lots of own products and our people support our own products, we don’t even need to boycott at first place. Maybe it is the time for us to be creative and beat those international products, so that we don’t have to depend on them? (yeah, that's a question) And after all, do you still think boycotting is a good idea?

**In before, don’t just share if you don’t know what it means. fyi, you will not go to heaven just because you share a lot of things on the internet.

the world as we know it

I’m not sure what’s going on with this world. It’s like I don’t even know it anymore. People kill each other; throw a bomb like throwing a letter; declare a war like change relationship status on FB. It is like the word peace only exists in the Oxford dictionary. Beside the war, other things such global warming everywhere and earthquakes every day also hit me with thousand of questions.  Is this a sign that the end of the world is near? If you can see all these signs and you know it is true, would you do something or just sit around like nothing happen and go on with your life? What we should do actually? To be honest, I’m really scared when my mind starts to think about this. I’m not ready, I’m not ready, I’m not ready…

3 words, 8 letters

These three words do not necessarily have to be ‘I love you’. It could be ‘I like you’ too. The last time I said I like someone; it was end up with my heart hurts once again. Is it wrong to like someone? No. Is it wrong to like someone too much until we have our heart broken? Yes. Like is not love. It is totally a different feeling. But like is a starting of love. We like someone and then if the person likes us back, then the feelings could turn into love. What is possibly could be wrong? The person we like doesn’t like us back. But that was not the worst part. The worst part is when the person said he/she likes you back but then you know that it is not true, and you end up with the broken heart (again). And of course the hardest part in finding true love is first to find someone that can say he/she likes you back (if you say it first) and that person isn’t lying. Even I’m still in a denial stage (where I once said I don’t want to fall in love anymore), but deep down in my heart I know some part of me will always waiting for someone that can make me like him more than video games, Paramore songs, art and photography, and he likes me back.

Can I have Combo C, please?

So, it’s been a while I’m not updating any entry in here. Last 2 days, I watched this malay drama on tv9 which’s about a guy that only has 90 days to live. If you are in his situation, what would you do? Just for the sake of sharing, here are top 10 bucket list/ things to do before you die (yes, I Google it) and what are mine:

  1. Become a millionaire
  2. Travel the world
  3. See the northern lights
  4. Walk the great wall of China
  5. Completely pay off your mortgage
  6. Go on the Inca Trail in Peru
  7. See the 7 Wonders of the world
  8. Visit the pyramids in Egypt
  9. Invent something that changes lives
  10. Visit Antartica
From those 10, only travel the world is in my bucket list (which is too mainstream, don’t you think?) Others, meh.. I’m not interested in walking great wall or see the 7 wonders, even invent something that changes lives sound pretty interesting. I have these much list so far (I know. Some of them are quite ridiculous)
  • Breakfast at Tiffany
  • Shoot a crazy video with my best friends/do a cover on youtube
  • Do a bungee jumping
  • Do Cosplay or attend a Halloween party
  • Ride the scariest roller coaster in this planet
  • Own a cupcake store
  • Have my own band (since it is too late, then my own rock band complete set also can la)
  • Smoke weed (I hope I’m not getting arrested for typing this)
  • Do some cool stuff that I’ve seen in the movie or drama series
  • Kiss a girl? LOL
That’s all I think, maybe. I will edit once I want to add some more. So, now how about yours?

instant coffee

I was thinking to write about me, politics and music in an entry. So, here we go, 3 in 1. There is a new song from Avril entitle ‘Here to never grow up’ and coincidentally Paramore also has a song about ‘Grow Up’ in their new album. Since I still have 3 years and half before grow into a woman, it made me wonder, Am I a girl now? I’m not at a crossroad to discover what I am even people kept telling me I’m less a woman.  Maybe they said that because the way I dress up, talk and I love football and video games instead of handbag and shoes. I don’t wear a dress, don’t know how to wear makeup, I don’t know what are the difference between shoes (all I know is sneakers, sandal, slippers, high heel and wedges) and colors. Is that made me less a woman? If a woman not shown their feminist side, is that will make her less woman? Anyway, I still can cook though and love baking. (Ops, some men do cook and baking too. LOL) Or maybe I’m in denying stage where I don’t want to grow up because I’m enjoying my life this way.

How is this related to politics? The question, of course. Same as less a woman, if you have something to say about how to change your country to a better nation or you support the other party because you think it is better than the other one, is that made you less patriotic about your country? Unfortunately, I have an answer for this question and the answer is big NO. In fact, it supposes to make us more patriotic because we care about our nation and we want the best for all of us and our country. There is a lot of improvement should be taken by government seriously if they really want to build a better nation, instead from what they wrote in their manifesto. I would say here, as a starting maybe by reducing their spending on the GE campaign. Like seriously, in this year and age, who the hell gives a damn about how many flags you wave in a state?

mirror, mirror in my cupboard

So, this week still no new episode of himym. Waiting for Ted to finally meet his wife is just as same as waiting for my other half. It's still a mystery. Oh, I get inspire to post this entry because I'm getting obsess with Justin Timberlake new single, "mirrors" which is also the one and only song that I like in his new album.

As I stand in front of my mirror, I still can't see the other half of me,
But tomorrow is a mystery, let the past be a history,
Someday I can finally see him through my reflection and complete my whole story...

vote for change [X]

I suppose to finish up my chapter 2 writing but goddamnit I can’t help but to write an entry about this. New theory: when the election is near, then you will see this ‘change’ word everywhere especially on the social network. Of course that word comes from fanatic freak of the opponent party. Around 3 days ago, I had tweeted something like ‘how about improvement instead of changing?’ Then most of people asked me back, “Why not try to change the government after 56 years we stay under the same government?” TBH, I’m not scared of experimenting new government. Or maybe we can have new leaders especially from the new generation (of course not all). My point here is I don’t trust opponent leaders now. Just look at the some states that they’re running. Seriously, is it I’m too blind to see or others that keep saying the word change is too dumb to realize? I did not say our government now is perfect either. They need a lot of improvement too (will be highlighted in another entry). In my point of view, it is better if the leader will be chosen based on their capabilities instead of what party they’re represent for every state and parliament. Okay now, how about instead of changing government, we change our mentality first. When I speak about changing our people mentality, most of my friends will say it is something that’s almost impossible to do. Oh well, I have to agree about that. That’s the ugly truth that we always keep avoiding. If nothing is impossible in this life, then why don’t we give a try? But first question here is where shall we start?

to BR1M or not to BR1M? that's a question.

I’m not here to campaign for any parties. As usual, I just write my point of view on my blog. If you have something to say, you can comment below. So, here we go after BN manifesto out yesterday night. First and foremost, of course, let’s talk about BR1M since a lot of people point this thing out. My first question will  be why they want to increase the value of BR1M? If this is about one of their objective 'memastikan pendapatan isi rumah rm5k' or because increasing of product price? When I started to learn about economics, I found that BR1M is a brilliant idea in replacement to cut taxes if the government plan to speed up the economy and also it gives beautiful statistic data to our GDP. In additional, it helps poor people as I can see that for myself. But then with the increasing value of BR1M, it is not helping people anymore. It makes people lazier and thinks that the government will help them eventually (especially for Malay race itself). Sorry, I don’t mean to be a racist bitch here especially on my own race but sadly that‘s the truth. Let me put this in a simple situation… Have you ever go to mamak stall or some restaurants around KL, penang, subang or city center where you can find a lot of beggars come to you every 5 minutes? At first, you might feel sorry for them but after they keep coming to you, you’ll not feel sorry anymore. Yup, that’s pretty similar situation.

This thing mark a bad image of our country. I don’t say that it is wrong if the government really want to help poor people. Just make sure that they’re really needed and not using BR1M as a tool to buy citizen’s votes (which means everyone can applied without investigate their background as long as they earning rm3k or below). So, my conclusion here is BR1M is a good idea as long as it's given to people that really needed like OKU, eldest people and people that can't work anymore on certain condition. Just to share some informations that I found in this bloghere ). Don’t take his point about job since that already include in manifesto. (http://news.abnxcess.com/2013/04/bn-manifesto-aim-to-create-3-3-million-jobs-and-rake-in-rm1-3tril-in-investments-in-next-five-years/)

Other than that, I also found this one brilliant status posted by a friend of mine on FB. Which mean BN can attract young people and ‘pengundi atas pagar’ votes if they not sounds too promising by giving too much and one of them is BR1M.

Nota kaki:
I still didn’t get it tho, people that keep saying we get our money back. Yes, you pay your taxes. Everyone does. But BR1M is given to people that earn rm3k below which mean that is only like a small percentage of taxes that you pay. FYI, people that earn more paid more taxes and they didn’t even entitled to apply for BR1M. Be more rational pls! (Unless you’re really rich and pay more taxes, then have a seat.)

I’m with stupid

There was an incident happened to me yesterday where I caught in the middle of the situation but the good thing is it gave me an idea to write an entry. I was driving to buy some groceries and then at my first traffic light, there were a lot of people crossing the road. The traffic light for people to cross the road was green but then when it turned to red, there were still some people crossing the road. I had no choice but to wait until all of them finish crossing. The bad thing was the driver behind me not as patient as me. Well, to be honest I’m not that patient either (especially when it comes to drive) but I’m not that stupid to hit these innocent people. So, I did what rational people will do. I waited for them even he started to push the horn to me. What the hell though. Of course I will say that guy is stupid. Even if I drove pass the traffic light where people crossing, there’s another traffic light in front us and for the time being, that damn traffic light was red! I’m pretty sure he thought I’m stupid too because I didn't drive while the traffic light was green. So, the situation here is I think that guy is stupid based on my perspective  and through my observation and that guy may think the same too. As an audience you might think the same as me because you read my perspective only.

Playing god is pointless. My point here is we need to do enough research and observation before make any conclusion. Everyone knew that our election is near and this is the time for us as citizen to open our eyes wide open to see which is right and which is wrong. And of course this time also you can see a lot of stupid comments from some people that want to show they actually know about stuff. For me, sometimes it is best to stay out of topic or say nothing at all than say something that will make you look stupid. Yes, everyone has freedom of speech, but that's not a license for you to humiliate yourself or say something that might not even true.

RealLife.rar

My thoughts are quite random and fuzzy this few days. Thus, I  still can’t figure out what to write on my blog. Habitually, I observed people online but since my data plan was expired yesterday and I don’t think I will activate it soon, then these are what I did for last 24 hours without internet connection on my Smartphone…

1) I actually read a book while waiting for my takeaway food (usually I just read Twitter timeline)

2) Struggling to level up 'Rock Band' and 'Guitar Hero'. I'm really bad at this! (Currently still at level easy. Noob!)

3) Try to finish up my writing and study. Oh well, after I write this entry maybe. :p

People said Smartphone without internet is useless. But sometimes all we need is to be away from the Internet. By that, we can feel real life and having a real conversation with family or friends. (I still can't believe I carry a book everywhere I go now. So not me!)

Hipster, I am.

While most of bloggers are busy typing an entry about the biggest event that had happened in our country yesterday, I’m here to write a review about Paramore’s new album.  Don’t worry. I will talk about that sooner or later. If you’re not a big Paramore fan as I am, you may skip this entry. If you do, you probably aware that they had released their new self-titled album in 4 days in a row. I just listened to the full album and I will say I love them all except 'Future' and 'Part II'. I still don't get it why Paramore did the sequel for 'Let the Flame Begins' and honestly it sucks! I mean their experiment on the new sound should be complemented but not a good thing to ruin your old song. Speaking of new sound, I really enjoy listening to 'Ain't It Fun'. I mean if you're not a Paramore fan and when you listen to this song, you will not believe that song actually from them. Totally new and sound nothing like the previous Paramore album and love it! Other songs like 'Grow Up' , 'Hate to See Your Heart Break' and 'Be Alone', I really adore their lyrics. Good job, guys! Last but not least, they also did something different by include short songs playing with acapella only (that's mean no drum and electric guitar). Songs like 'Moving On', 'Holiday' and 'I'm Not Angry Anymore' really cute and if you listened to these songs through vinyl player, it will bring you back to 1950s era. Oh, almost forget. They also had released 2 new songs that did not include in the new album. I just heard 'Escape Route' and I think it sounds like a little bit 'Ignorance' except it is not too loud.

Here is the official video of ‘Still into You’. So far, I can’t stop playing it repeatedly. Goth, I’m so in love with this! And Hayley looks so cute in this video! Does this make me a hipster since I’m writing about an album review instead of talking about politics? Lols.

New badge unlocked: Maturity.

How do we measure the maturity level of a person? Is it by his/her age, thinking, act or dress up? In this day and age, kid want to be an adult and an adult acts like a kid. I really surprise sometimes when I see some kids in the shopping mall with the dress, high heels and make up while I’m still wearing jeans, shirt and sneakers even though I’m pretty sure I’m 8 to 12 years older than them. It made me think that either I’m too scare to be old or is it them that are too excited to look matured. Either way, I hope that they will not ruin their face in another 30 years. In a different story,  there is a girl that used to be my student and I do follow her on Twitter. I don’t know why but she always tweets about motivation and giving an advise like she already experience everything in life while she just got her spm results. I didn’t say that’s wrong. I still remember when I was her age. The only thing that was in my head is class 8am till 6pm. Shit. I didn’t even know what love is. I don’t blame myself for taking too long to be matured. Well, at least I had enjoy being young, immature, my stupidity, and every mistakes that I had made. Even sometimes I kinda regret for what I had done in my past, but learning from our life experience is still the best compared to learn it through a book or someone else’s view. If being matured is a choice, then I can’t help but wonder why on the hell those kids want to be matured earlier than their age? Why they don’t want to enjoy their teenage years while they still can? What a waste! In my side of view, it should be a threshold in life where up to some level, someone should be matured simultaneously with his/her age. Not too early or not too late. But then, we can’t control it, or can we?

fool me once, fool me twice

How many times that I’ve been fooled on 1st of April? Never. How many times that I’ve been fooled in my life? Incalculable. Frankly speaking, I’m pretty much easier to be fooled by others. Friends, strangers, guys. Guys. Hah. I’m still not sure if I’m too naïve or too stupid. Like seriously. I still remembered last year that I almost being fooled by a guy that I met online which turned out he’s one of the scam. If you ever read in a paper, news like “Grandma lost RM10k for the internet love”. Sounds familiar, right? Not surprisingly, most of the victims in this case are women. We, women can really fall by men’s words sometimes no matter how strong or how intelligent we are. Especially when we are alone and suddenly someone shows to us how much he cares even its all not true. Yeah, I didn’t see that coming even it was quite obvious. Anyway, I was still somehow lucky because the only things that I had lost were my dignity and 4 months wasted time that I had spend for him. This incident had made me become more cautious every time I want to know someone online or real life. Also, not to trust people easily especially someone that I just know. For the women out there, if you accidentally read this entry, please be careful if you want to find your Mr. Right on the internet. Do not, I repeat, do not give your money, credit card info, or any details of yourself easily. We can’t tell if someone really mean what he/she said or that person only want to make a fool of you.
